Hanna and Keith - Casa Felix Wedding
"sometimes I want a quiet life
and other times I want to go a little bit fucking Gatsby"Atticus
Its quiet a quote to begin a blog with but it has the kind of spirit to it that sums up Hanna, plus it makes me laugh and there was a lot of laughter on this gloriously sunny wedding at my fave venue Casa Felix. Its a huge post it really is.. they crammed so much in how could I possibly leave anything out! Please commit to the scroll! the end is worth it promise :-)
I like to pop up the day before a wedding to meet my couples, when I arrived at Casa Felix I was met by an incredibly energetic Irish beauty bombing about in her bikini and trainers and the very mellow Keith taking it all in his stride. This gave me a perfect insight into how the day was going to go :-) and I made a mental note to pace myself in order to keep up with Hanna.
Hanna and Keith are both Irish but Ozzy residents, the wedding party had traveled from all over the world to see these too tie the not. Big travelers ( that's how they met)clearly nuts about each other, they took on the challenge of planning a destination wedding on the other side of the world, I couldn't imagine them doing it any other way and they had found Val ( AKA weddingsvia val-/ fab planner) so all was well.
The wedding day! Bridal prep was massive with Bride and four sisters and three flower girls getting some serious pampering and everyone present in the Bridal suit when Hannah stepped into her super elegant Atelier Pronovia Gown. Its beautiful to see big family's at weddings and all the banter and laughter that comes with that. I love to step back and capture the excitement and chaos of the Bridal room.
Hanna looked stunning and her dads first peek of her is one of my fave emotional captures of last year.Meanwhile Keith had a dram of whiskey, wrote his speech and the boys all looking dapper played table footie and had a good laugh.
Short sprint in the mid day sun up a steep hill wearing the highest Mishka Bagley shoes, ( not for the faint hearted) to arrive at the ceremony for the romance of the clock chiming as Hanna walked the aisle. The ceremony was in front of the beautiful little church in Olivella and it was a beauty! one of the page boys read "guess how much I love you" which had everyone reaching for the hankies.
Post ceremony, guests returned to Casa Felix and we took a little longer to shoot a bit of post ceremony smoochy romance in the beautiful old village.
The group shots of the kids and Hanna are also some of my faves of last year sooo cute, its always the in between moments that show the true relationships and character for me even in group shots.( Group shots do not have to be boring!)
Irish banter at its best for the speeches and lots of emotion, another stroll for the loved up couple in the lush light behind Casa Felix, these too had serious natural chemistry and as I often say no posing is necessary when love is doing its thing. Then it was cake and on went Hanna's trainers again for some big time partying. The band: big hair, very little clothing ( to quote Val) go by the name of the Big Mouthers, great eye candy and they seriously rocked the dance floor.
It was a great wedding all about family, deep bonds and two peaple madly in love, celebrated with great humor and Energy!
Biggest thanks to a great team of vendors and to Hanna and Keith a total pleasure it was :-)
