Naomi and Tom – A magical forest wedding at La Garriga De Castelladral

LA GARRIGA

Naomi and Toms wedding gave me the opportunity to work at the La Garriga de Castelladral , a beautifully authentic rather majestic family run farmhouse that has been on my “wedding venues to shoot at “wish list for a while. It has the most stunning views of Montserrat the whole vibe is super tranquil and gives a feeling of total immersion in nature . Designed with natural materials and guests meals are prepared with organic veg from the garden – you get the picture! The venue has its own little bit of forest ,( we loved the giant forest swing!) which makes for a magical ceremony area and when chatting to Naomi in the lead up to the wedding the ceremony area ( and the horses!) were one of the things they most loved about the venue. These two, both from the north of England live in a place that is surrounded by fabulous countryside not far from my own roots in West Yorkshire so its natural that there destination wedding venue had to have something a little extra special in terms of views nature and atmosphere.

FAB STYLE

Naomis stunning dress was everyone’s fave dress label Grace Loves Lace , simple and gorgeous with the trademark sassy front spit! . I Absolutely loved Naomis choice of veil and the prettiest floral dried flower hair creation by Folky Dokey. Naomi literally looked like an angel walking down the long forest aisle with the shafts of sunlight beaming down through the trees.

We do love a bride with a leather jacket! Naomis was a cracker! artfully customized by Mama Inc Studio, classic black leather with Mrs Underwood painted on the back with some gorgeous blue flowers. Brides top tip - if you are having a wedding in the cooler months grab yourself a fab jacket for your outdoor dining and plus you get to wear it forever after! Have to give Naomis 4 sisters who made for a great bridesmaids posse a mention too, super pretty and dressed in all shades of lush teal with the most intricate boho plaited hairstyles by Teresa Snowballs fab team.

TOP TIP FOR SPEECHES

The couple decided to have their speeches during appetizer rather than at dinner time which worked really well , everyone gathered round in the incredible courtyard at Garriga facing the mountains of Montserrat and I loved this idea for all you future bride and grooms. Naomi and Tom wanted a calm intimate relaxed wedding and they payed great attention to small details and timings that were perfectly planned by Hollie the wedding planner and calmly executed by Nuria from the Garriga .

DINING AND ONWARD …

The outdoor dining was in a great location, again looking over the beautiful mountains of Montserrat. They chose long candle lit tables, decorated with whimsical fresh country flowers. A ton of fairy lights hung over head and the Garriga as a back drop made for a truly magical setting.

I am a big fan of a sparkler first Dance and Naomi and Tom fully embraced this idea. With every Guest surrounding the newly weds ( top tip sparklers have to be long for this to work! ) they danced within a sparkler tastic circle of their loved ones – A truly romantic and unforgettable moment !

The award for the best dancing of the evening definitely goes to the impromptu line dancing led by the groovey grandmas who managed to get the party started with all guests on the dance floor following their lead!

'“Jo was fantastic and we are over the moon with the photographs she captured of our special day! We have some family politics and had to ensure we got group photographs with everyone, which resulted in quite a long list of group shots being required. It got quite stressful working through the said list and Jo instantly sensed this, lightening the mood with some fun shots with my bridesmaids.

We can't recommend Jo enough. She is an extremely talented photographer, so easy to work with and made us feel relaxed on the wedding day.
